It is possible to become an assessor with no formal training? Assessors may start practising as soon as they are registered with a Centre.

In 2006 CSkills Awards identified the need for support and development for assessors and verifiers in the construction sector as it had been recognised that there was no organisation specifically catering for this sector.

ENTO has been promoting a ‘Back to Basics’ approach to assessment of proving competence in a job role rather than the all too familiar requirements that many learners find they have to undertake in order to achieve their desired NVQ.

ENTO is looking for more freelance trainers to join our existing team to meet increased demand for event delivery.

Within Centres delivering NVQs there is a requirement to audit internal assessment to ensure that the quality of assessment meets the standards required by awarding bodies and the regulatory authorities.

The awarding bodies have now agreed the evidence requirements and these have also been submitted and approved by QCA.
