Angela MacKirdy formerly worked for ENTO as a Standards Development Officer
involving the development and maintenance of National Occupational Standards
and associated standards. This also included dealing with enquiries from
and providing information and advice to individuals, government and regulatory
bodies, awarding bodies and learning providers.
Even though Angela no longer works for ENTO she still has an active interest
in The Learning Network and provides a consultancy service to the members
of The Learning Network through ENTO by writing articles and dealing with
enquiries from members.
Angela is an experienced trainer, assessor and verifier with several years
experience of working with NVQ candidates and centres. Prior to joining ENTO
she was self-employed, providing training and consultancy services in IT
as well as assessing and verifying for a number of organisations in the fields
of IT, Administration and Training and Development. She was also an external
verifier for Edexcel. She has experience of training blind students in the
use of IT at the Royal National College for the Blind and has taught various
adult courses in colleges of further education.
Angela graduated from Edinburgh University as a PhD chemist and worked for
ICI for 15 years as an analyst and project manager. Her experience with and
enthusiasm for work-based training started here in 1990 with a trial of the
NVQ for laboratory assistants and analysts. |
